Descrição
O ConnectPort X2 para Smart Energy fornece uma conexão de baixo custo entre um Home Area Network (HAN) e um software provedor de serviços para aplicação de energia através de uma conexão IP. O gateway incorpora o padrão ZigBee Smart Energy (ou "Public Application Profile"), tornando-se compatíveis com dispositivos não-Digi. O padrão ZigBee Smart Energy também permite o ConnectPort X2 definir as informações que o dispositivo irá enviar através da rede e como comportar-se com outros dispositivos na rede.
Construído sobre o módulo XBee-Pro ZigBee ZB, os gateways dispõe de firmware para cada um dos oito dispositivos definidos no ZigBee Smart Energy "Public Application Profile"l. O módulo também trata a união, autenticação e funções de criação de chave na rede.
